Itinerary

day1

Thursday : Arrival Istanbul & Afternoon Half Day Old City Tour
Arrival to Istanbul airport, meeting with your guide or assistant and transfer to hotel for check-in. Early check-in is possible only due to the availability of the hotel. Afternoon continue to visiting old part of the Istanbul ; Topkapi Palace (closed on Tuesday), the greatest higlight of Istanbul. This palace was home to the Sultans of Ottoman Empire for hundreds of years. Now it is stil holding many treasures from old times. Rustem Pasha Mosque, designed by the court architect Sinan for the Grand Vizier of Suleyman The Magnificent. A typical sample of Islamic architecture amidst the rows of shops near the Spice Bazaar, famed with its exquisite and colorful tiles set in floral and geometric designs. Overnight in Istanbul

Friday : Trabzon – Uzungol
Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for an early flight to Trabzon. Meet with your guide at the Trabzon Airport and start your tour. Today we will explore the highlights of Trabzon city; study the extraordinary collection of Byzantine frescoes in the 13th century church of Ayasofya, visit Ataturk's Mansion on Soguksu hill facing Black Sea, Trabzon Castle and Sera Lake on the way to Akçaabat, lunch at a seaside restaurant serving chicken and fish. In the afternoon we drive to Uzungol (long lake). It's a hidden paradise in the Pontic Alps. We hike around the lake and village surrounded by emerald green forests and check-in to hotel. Dinner & Overnight in Uzungol.

Trabzon
After breakfast at hotel, we check-out and leave for our tour. We begin our trip with visiting the 4th century Sumela Monastery and Altindere National Park. After the monastery visit we have lunch at a riverside restaurant. After the lunch we drive to Gumushane to visit Karaca Cave, considered the most beautiful in Turkey for its colours and formations. Later on we drive you up to Zigana Mountain, crossing the mountain with spectacular views of villages on Pontic Mountains. Drive back to our hotel located at the centre of Trabzon. Dinner & Overnight in Trabzon.

Sunday : Trabzon – Ankara – Cappadocia
After a traditional breakfast , we will once again drive to Trabzon Airport for our flight to Ankara. In the morning visit to the Anatolian Civilizations Museum at which numerous remnants from Stone Age, Neolithic Age, Hittites, Urartians, Phrygians and many others are on display; Mausoleum of Ataturk, the burial place of the national hero who founded modern Republic of Turkey. Then continue on to Cappadocia. After a picturesque trip along the Salt Lake pass by the 13th century Seljukian Caravanserai Agzikarahan. After visiting Kaymakli Underground City, the place early Christians hid from persecutors, proceed to the hotel. Overnight in Cappadoccia

Monday : Cappadoccia – Full Day Sightseeing Tour
Optional balloon tour. Depart from the hotel and visit the valleys where animal-like natural formations like camels and fair chimneys are abundant. Drive on to Pasabagi in Zelve area where monks used to live in seclusion in rock cut rooms. Proceed to the pottery town of Avanos where Kizilirmak (Hallys), the longest river of Turkey, meanders leaving the red clay on its banks that has been the raw material of pottery for centuries. In the afternoon visit to Open Air Museum in Goreme to visit to the early Christian churches decorated with unique frescoes depicting various scenes from the Bible. Stop by Pigeon Valley near Uchisar. Shopping time for the well-known merits of the area. Overnight in Cappadocia.

day6

Tuesday: Cappadoccia – Istanbul & Afternoon Bosphorus Cruise Tour
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the Kayseri or Nevsehir airport for your flight to Istanbul. Arrival to Istanbul, meeting your assistant and proceed to hotel. Afternoon departure for half day Bosphorus Cruise tour ; Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Bazaar), mystical smells of different aromas of various spices. Shops selling fruits, vegetables, fish, flowers etc. Bosphorus Cruise, through the waterway separating the two continents, Europe and Asia, with a possibility to take photographs of marble palaces, ancient wooden villas of Ottoman architecture besides modern residentials and luxurious apartments. Overnight in Istanbul.

Wendesday: Departure
Breakfast at the hotel, free time until your departure time. Transfer to the airport for your flight
