day1
Arrival Plan to arrive Cochin around 10 AM so that you could reach Kumarakom before 1 PM. The travel from Cochin to Kumarakom will be on road and takes around 2 hours. Kumarakom is famous for backwaters but it is also world famous for some of the exciting holidays themese. Some of them include, canoeing, fishing, houseboats, birds sanctuary, tasty fish delicacies, ayurvedic treatments etc.
day2
Alleppey Houseboat boarding point in Alleppey is about 1 hour drive from Kumarakom. Target checking in to the houseboat before 12:30 PM. During the initial one to two hours in the houseboat, you will travel through a bigger lake, with more open settings. However, towards the mid, you will be entering smaller, narrower channels of the lake, which has a unique beauty of its own. The swaying palms of coastal Kerala, merged with the golden slanting sun makes it a perfect setting for romantic Kerala backwater packages.
day3
Departure Checking out of the houseboat around 9 AM after having the breakfast on board will let you reach Cochin before 1 PM. The lunch can be planned either from a boutique restaurant in Fort Cochin or from a city restaurant. Try to visit Mattancherry Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace, Broadway and MG Road etc before getting dropped at the railway station or airport.
